How it works
Self-serve, about 10 minutes for your first product, no calls and no meetings. Here's the whole flow.
Confirm your business is UK-established, then add your details (2 minutes)
The first question is whether your business or sole trader is established in the United Kingdom. If yes, you add your business details once. As a UK-established seller selling into the EU, you'll also record the EU economic operator you appoint.
Add a product and tick its hazards
Name the product, pick its category, enter the brand/model, choose your target EU member states, and tick the hazards that apply. We map them to the right warnings and the right languages.
Download the four document templates
(operator record, risk assessment, traceability sheet, label template). View and print each one and keep them with your technical file — stored in your dashboard on this device so you can reprint or update them.
The four documents you get
- D1 — EU Responsible Economic Operator Record
- D2 — Risk assessment / technical-file template
- D3 — Traceability sheet
- D4 — Safety-warning & label template (+ listing copy)
The UK establishment gate, plainly
SafeSell is currently available to UK-established businesses and sole traders only.
SafeSell is currently for UK-established businesses and sole traders preparing GPSR paperwork for selling into the EU. Because your UK business is not itself established in the EU/EEA, you cannot be your own EU responsible economic operator: you must appoint an EU-established economic operator to take on the role — for example an EU importer, an authorised representative, an EU fulfilment service provider, or another EU-established operator. You remain the UK economic operator legally responsible for your products. SafeSell lets you record whoever you appoint; if you haven't added those details yet, your documents are marked incomplete. SafeSell does not sell, broker or arrange that appointment.
